Hello my dears! In my previous post, I shared the recipe for Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Sage, which works great on the grill. Today I have yet another recipe for your next BBQ: Sugar-Free Curry Ketchup! “Regular” (supermarket) ketchup is loaded with corn syrup and refined sugars – which you may well be aware of by now. So I did what I always do in these situations: I decided to make my own version!

Here, I’ve used dates to sweeten my homemade (curry) ketchup. Yes, I know dates are also “sugar,” and yes, I’ve tried omitting them (or at least using fewer of them). But my family and I liked this version best. Ultimately, ketchup just isn’t ketchup without some sweetness!

By the way, if you want to make a “plain” ketchup, just leave out the curry powder. Enjoy!

Homemade Curry Ketchup (No Sugar)

Ketchup without any refined sugar? Yes! My version is sweetened with dates.

By the way, the ketchup keeps fresh for quite a long time – I made a large quantity about a month ago and still have some in the fridge that tastes great!

Have fun and let me know how your ketchup turns out! :-)
