Since I know how much you all love Energy Balls, I’m excited to share an awesome new recipe with you today: Brownie Energy Balls! Since they’re sweetened only with dates and made with raw cacao, they little bites make a great alternative to conventional brownies – and they’re just as rich and fudgy. Even better: you can whip them up in no time.

After I made these yesterday, I had to keep on eye on them to make sure they didn’t disappear as fast as they did last time: my husband appears to have a real soft spot for them (he claims they remind him of Nutella and has a hard time believing they don’t contain hazelnuts). ;-) They’re one of my favorite energy ball recipes, too!

A quick note: feel free to swap out the walnuts for pecans, which also work great in these energy balls. Here’s the recipe:

ZUTATEN:
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 200 g dates
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao*
  • 1/2 tsp ground vanilla* or 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt*
ANLEITUNG:
  1. Process all ingredients in a high-speed blender* and form ten energy balls using your hands.
