Okay, so we all (over)indulge during the holidays – but it’s worth getting a few healthy snacks in there as well! My husband and I are both fans of these date-based Christmas Energy Balls, which get their seasonal cred from the gingerbread spice, walnuts, orange peel, and apples – all very “christmassy” flavors here in Germany!

To make these Christmas Energy Balls, all you need is a high-performance blender* or in a food processor. Enjoy!

ZUTATEN:
  • 250 g dates dried and pitted
  • 100 g apples dried (unsulfured)
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp lebkuchen gingerbread spice* (cinnamon, anise, allspice cloves, coriander, and vanilla)
  • 1 generous pinch orange zest dried
ANLEITUNG:
  1. Process all ingredients in a high-speed blender* and form into eight balls.

The Energy Balls will stay fresh for some days (or even weeks) in the fridge – but they never last that long in that house! ;-)
